En el contexto turístico de Provenza, Medellín, el Hotel El Zarzo se concibe como un oasis urbano que integra valor estético, ambiental y social en cada detalle arquitectónico. Implantado entre medianeros, el proyecto aprovecha estratégicamente sus fachadas oriental y occidental, permitiendo que cada habitación disfrute de vistas despejadas, luz natural y ventilación cruzada, mientras los servicios se concentran en los laterales.

El hotel alberga 16 habitaciones en tres tipologías distribuidas en siete niveles. El primer nivel integra lobby y restaurante abiertos al público, y una terraza con bar vintage y pérgola retráctil que ofrece un ambiente flexible, acogedor y exclusivo. Su fachada, articulada mediante arcos y pórticos, enmarca visuales hacia jardines, la ciudad y sus montañas.

La vegetación integrada en losas, con más de 100 especies tropicales y riego eficiente, mejora la eficiencia térmica y reduce la huella de carbono, consolidando a El Zarzo como un referente en arquitectura sostenible y en la evolución de Provenza como destino turístico de primer nivel.

In the touristic context of Provenza, Medellín, Hotel El Zarzo is conceived as an urban oasis that integrates aesthetic, environmental, and social value into every architectural detail. Set between party walls, the project strategically utilizes its eastern and western façades, allowing each room to enjoy open views, natural light, and cross ventilation, while service areas are concentrated along the sides.

The hotel features 16 rooms in three typologies distributed across seven levels. The ground floor integrates a lobby and restaurant open to the public, while the rooftop terrace, with a vintage style bar and retractable pergola, offers a flexible, welcoming, and exclusive atmosphere. Its façade, articulated through arches and porticos, frames views toward gardens, the city, and the surrounding mountains.

Vegetation integrated into the slabs, with more than 100 tropical species and an efficient irrigation system, enhances thermal performance and reduces the carbon footprint, positioning El Zarzo as a reference in sustainable architecture and in the evolution of Provenza as a premier tourist destination.
