En un tiempo de crisis ambiental y climática, El Matorral entiende el verde no como recurso decorativo, sino como una forma de habitar. Aquí, las losas se transforman en grandes contenedores vivos que albergan más de un centenar de especies tropicales, sostenidas por un sistema de riego preciso, justo y silencioso.

La vegetación crece contenida en el espesor de la estructura y se vive desde adentro: los pies se acercan al borde y el jardín parece brotar desde el suelo, como si se tratara de una casa rodeada de naturaleza. Cocinas, salas y habitaciones conviven con hierbas aromáticas, árboles frutales y la fauna que llega desde la quebrada cercana.

Desde la calle, el matorral devora la fachada y convierte al edificio en un pequeño oasis en el corazón denso de la ciudad.

In a time of environmental and climate crisis, El Matorral understands greenery not as decoration, but as a way of living. Here, the slabs become large living containers, housing more than a hundred tropical species, sustained by a precise, efficient, and discreet irrigation system.
The vegetation grows within the thickness of the structure and is experienced from the inside: feet approach the edge and the garden seems to emerge from the floor, creating the feeling of a house immersed in nature. Kitchens, living spaces, and bedrooms coexist with aromatic herbs, fruit trees, and the wildlife that arrives from the nearby stream.
From the street, the matorral overtakes the façade, transforming the building into a small oasis within the dense heart of the city.
